Hello. I have a rather specific question.
We have a bedroom on the upper floor where vinyl click flooring is to be laid. The idea now is to add underfloor heating as well. The floor is made of concrete and under the room, there is a storage room that stays above freezing all year round.

On the supplier's website (Pergo) for the flooring we are considering, it states that the "heating coil should be embedded in the floor."

What is now the best/cheapest/easiest solution for this?

Unfortunately, I can't find an explanation anywhere.

Installed, it means that the heating should not be directly against the floor, self-leveling compound at about 3 - 4 cm above the coils is probably a must then.

Put it in self-leveling compound.
Ask the floor manufacturers what makes it so sensitive, and also ask the underfloor heating manufacturers what they recommend for the level of the compound for distribution.
With that info, there should not be any problem, and you won't use more compound than necessary.

How does one view the need for insulation during? Is there no risk of "heating for the crows"?
