I am interested in expanding my kitchen. We hear in the wall next to the kitchen that there is something like a column, and I retrieved drawings from SBK. It seems to be some form of concrete column that goes through all the floors. Is the purpose of these to be load-bearing? I assume I should interpret it as we cannot demolish this.

Wanted to check here first if anyone knows for sure before I pay 5k to find out I can't demolish anything.
Blueprint of a building floor plan featuring a highlighted section that may indicate a supporting concrete column. Blueprint of a floor plan with a highlighted section near the kitchen involving a potential structural column. Blueprint showing a reinforced concrete pillar structure in a building, likely load-bearing, with detailed measurements and annotations circled in blue.

It seems reasonable that it is load-bearing.

Very odd solution, but it is most likely load-bearing.

There are very large spans on that concrete slab so it is there to help. It takes a very large load if there are multiple floors.
