I have been searching like crazy on Google for hewn timber that I could use to cover the collar beams on the trusses of our Småland villa. Does anyone know if there are ready-made solutions for this? Or does anyone know where you can buy hewn timber at a reasonable price? If there are no ready-made solutions, I was thinking of taking the hewn timber beams to some carpentry so that they can "mill down" the beam to give it a sort of U-profile, which I can then slide over the existing collar beams and attach somehow....
Moeälven has something called bilad panel that I usually use for similar purposes, a bit fiddly but looks nice afterwards
