We are going to install pivot shower doors in a shower corner. Each door weighs about 25kg and is attached to the wall with three screws. The wall consists of particleboard - wet room plasterboard - tiles. We do not have the option to attach the screws to the studs. What is the best plug choice? Would regular plastic plugs suffice? Or should I use molly plugs for triple plasterboard? Or should I choose something else entirely?

Ordinary wood screw e.g. spax, the chipboard will be the one holding everything together. No plugs.

Featherweight plugs might be an option if you don't feel like finding long molly plugs? Fischer UX plugs can otherwise handle a maximum load of 25 kg in double drywall. That's 25 kg straight out with a safety factor of 3. In other words, each plug can handle 75 kg before things start to happen.
Three UX plugs can easily handle your shower doors.

I have UX anchors at home, so it's an easy solution for me if it seems to work.joflopp said:Spring toggle anchors might be something if you don't want to bother finding long molly anchors? Hello
Protte is absolutely right. Why study if you have spån behind?
Best regards, Madde
