Hi, I have made holes for ventilation down to the basement. And since I had to break through the concrete, I vacuumed away maybe 50x50 sawdust and coal.

Do I have to fill this in once I have installed the pipes? And with what?
If so, I need to make a square hole instead of 2 round ones in the herringbone parquet so I can access to fill it in.

If it's insulation, you could insulate with some expanding foam... In that case, you might manage with just a small hole.

It'll be a cavity 30 cm deep and 50x50 cm. So maybe too much for foam.

I hardly think so. You should have a thin hose and just stick it down.

Simply fill with loose wool of any kind.

What a question! Of course, you should insulate around the penetration. Mineral wool or a bucket of sawdust. Just take the simplest option.
