Anticimex removed the ceiling in the kitchen to check the chipboard under the bathroom because we discovered an old water damage when we removed the parquet flooring from an adjacent room.

Anticimex determined that the chipboard was dry.

What I saw afterwards, however, was a hole (large enough to fit 1-2 fingers depending on the size of your fingers) all the way up to the drywall in the bathroom (with wet room wallpaper in the bathroom), I assumed it was Anticimex who had carved it up, but it wasn't.

Is this something I need to worry about and address?

  • Hole in wooden board near bathroom drywall with exposed insulation and damaged edges, likely related to a previous water damage investigation.
  • Close-up of a hole in a kitchen ceiling, revealing chipboard and a gap leading up to a drywall in the bathroom.
  • Floor plan showing a bathroom layout with a hole location marked in red under the shower area.
