Chipboard on tongue-and-groove floor cc120?
Hello!
I have a garage with an attic. The joists have a spacing of 120 cm, and on top of that, there is a tongued-and-grooved floor with 22x95 boards. Now I want to reinforce the floor to be able to use the space properly. As it is now, it flexes a lot, and I'm afraid of falling through.
So, I'm wondering if it would be enough to lay a chipboard directly on the floor? That would make it 22 + 22 mm on 120 cm spacing. I'd prefer to avoid adding joists because then I'd have to either tear up the floor or the ceiling below. The space is about 6x2.5 meters.
If not: are there any other practical tips I can use?

If you look at #191 on this link you can see how I did it....

So you just glued the chipboards directly to the floor?Enk Projektet said:
What is the CC on the beams underneath and what thickness is the floor? How did the surface feel before you glued the chipboards? Was there a lot of flex? Did it hold?
As I mentioned earlier, I am worried about going through, it feels that unstable with only 22mm raw wood flooring on CC 120 in my case.
Really cool project you have. Great job!
