Hello, I get so many different options when it comes to the underlayment before laying oak chevron flooring on top of a waterborne heated floor that is on a chipboard floor. Should I lay chipboard, 4x2 masonite boards, 10-12 mm chipboard or are there other alternatives?

Shouldn't the supplier of the parquet (oak planks) be able to advise on the recommended underlay?
If you're installing herringbone parquet, it needs to be a fairly solid base, even if you're just gluing it. Nailing it wouldn't work if you have water-based heating :)
You also don't want to use a board that's too thick so that the heating can function - I recall there is a maximum thickness for the floor above the underfloor heating. The underfloor heating supplier should be able to answer how thick it "can" be.
