I have a tarp that has been over a roof since January, and many "on and off", "on and off", "on and off" combined with many hours of sunlight have made it no longer watertight. I would prefer not to buy a new one because I have put a number of eyelets in it so that it sits properly when it’s windy - otherwise that would have been the obvious choice.

Now I am looking for some kind of "compound" or similar that can be applied. Do you have any ideas? Tar gets so damn sticky when it has to be on and off. Some kind of rubber compound or similar would be perfect.

Blue tarpaulin with visible wear and tear, showing white grid patterns.

This might work but it requires such enormous amounts: LINK

Feels like you should just throw it away, buy a real press if you want to have it that way next time.

You get what you pay for. A sealing compound costs more than the tarpaulin.

Honestly, those cheap tarps unfortunately aren't worth much. Trying to repair one is just throwing money away.

You need up to 600 gr/m2 for it to work well if you're going to be putting it on and taking it off. For example, this one

Thanks for the tip. What I forgot to say was that the project is nearing its end, so I don't want to spend too much money on something new.

That one is completely finished. Buy a super cheap quality at Biltema/Jula and place eyelets where it fits so you can manage the summer.
