In this month's Vi i Villa, they have an ad from Cheapy. They are selling a wood stove for 5000:-. I've never bought anything from Cheapy and I'm wondering what you think? Could it be an okay stove, or is it junk? The name of the store doesn't give a very good impression directly...

Not a huge fan of cheapy, but sometimes I shop there. Last time it was bricks and concrete blocks... with stuff like that, you can hardly go wrong :)
Examine the stove carefully and google the brand, and you'll probably find someone who has an opinion...

Seems to be a Danish stove, Asgård 1, which they sell for 5000 SEK. I guess it's neither better nor worse than other stoves in the same price range. However, it is Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified. Not sure how common that is among other low-priced stoves.

If you like the appearance, just go for it, no advanced technology really in a stove. Check that everything feels OK, moldings, hinges, locking function on the handle, etc.

How did it go? Did you buy an Asgård 1, or did you get another one?

And how does it work in that case?
