I want a mafia-style in the man cave. Dark wood paneling on the walls. What is the absolute cheapest solution? I'm thinking maybe good quality plywood that is stained? Joints between panels covered with a small molding.

It works. With stain and visible wood grain, as mentioned, good carpentry quality on the plywood is needed. I don’t know what mafiosostuk means, but rather panel walls in English classic environments. Then you need a bit more robust profiled moldings and more molding work. We have done it ourselves, albeit in Swedish style. We used regular construction plywood where the worst spots were lightly filled, and the rough parts were sanded. Then cover painting. Quite a bit of fuss with the moldings, but the end result was good.

You might need to upload a picture of how you want it to look.
The cheapest way is probably to glue down some laminate flooring in a 1-strip design.

Yes, but English classic environment sounds like what I'm looking for. What did you paint the plywood with? Pictures?

We painted with light gray linoljefärg.

I'll see if I can take some pictures over the weekend (when I'm home in daylight).
