I will install an EV charging box outside on the garage. The electricians I talked to over the phone seem unsure. The charging box and cable together weigh 11kg. Someone suggested building the charging box freestanding on a pole away from the house.
The garage is plastered with an air gap. Wooden studs are 60cm apart. In between is just insulation.
How would you handle the installation?

A wider crossbar, screwed into the studs you have, and the box on that. You may need about 80cm of wood, and depending on the box, not much wood will be visible on each side of the box.
Are you also considering having a holder for the cable? Then not much of the stud will remain visible.
There is also a screwable fiberboard if you don't want a stud on the wall.

Or screw it into one of the studs.
