Change balcony construction

Hello,

I wonder if I can remove the middle support (green) without reinforcing the structure of my balcony. The beam is 75x220 and measures ~4.6 meters between the outer supports.

My townhouse neighbors (who continue to the left in the picture) have removed their middle support without any issues, although there is a slight strain in the middle, but their balconies are even about 1 meter wider than mine is..

What do you think??..d^_^b or q(;^p

Note! The beam is not laminated timber, only a piece that is "zig-zag" jointed in the middle.
