Building a new chimney and the idea is to give it the same surface treatment as the old chimney (and the rest of the house). The house was painted with white cement paint 45 years ago. However, the bricks are coated with something I assume is cement before it was painted. The coating adds about two millimeters on top of the bricks.

In the building description from when the house was built, it says that the facade is "brushed with cement before coloring with snowcem." What exactly should I apply to the chimney when it's finished? Some cement solution or something? How do I apply it?
