Upon request, I'm posting pictures of the ceiling I made in my hallway.
I first put up the beadboard, then on top of that, I added the other moldings. There are boards that look like beadboard, which would probably be easier to start from. Then I created the pattern based on the lamp I found in the old town.
The idea is that the window to be over the door should be somewhat in the color and style of the lamp.

Very stylish!
Now it's standard dimensions so the job involves mitering all the pieces and setting them up, but sure it took its time. But I'm quite satisfied with the result. Possibly, I should have glued the moldings that lie on top of each other and then when cutting, everything would be cut in one go, that might have been easier to do. Now I cut each one separately... there were many cuts.
Very nice!
Always fun to have something others don't have and fun that you share here on the forum.

Nice craftsmanship, no doubt about it. But it doesn't suit my taste at all, a bit too cluttered for my liking. As they say: tastes are like baken: I like mine but everyone else's stinks
Well, it's lucky that we're different...
I bought a cottage from the 60s but like the 19th-century turn of the century style, so I'm slowly transforming the cottage into a villa. One floor of 50 square meters at purchase, now 2 floors with a basement and 300 square meters. So it's a bit more than just renovation...
A lot of it will probably become, as you say, cluttered. But as I say - with a genuine feel... there will be a lot of stucco and "clutter".
