Hello.
I am in the process of building a laundry room in the basement and am wondering what material can be used for the ceiling. I want to minimize the construction height as the ceiling height is already limited. What type of board can be screwed directly into the joists that are at 600 mm centers?
/Hans.

Because plaster on CC600 risks bending so that it becomes wavy. If you install sparse cc 300, you avoid that. If you want to save height and are prepared to deal with the consequences, you can recess the spars between the studs. Then you don't lose any height even though you get spacing. The disadvantage is that the moisture barrier becomes significantly more difficult to implement.
