Hello!
I'm planning my biggest amateur home project so far.
I have a question for you knowledgeable people, I would like to lower the ceiling a bit to install spotlights, the ceiling in question is currently made of painted concrete.
My question is what material I should use and a bit on how I should build it to avoid the risk of mold.
After renovating other parts of the basement, I've learned to build in as little as possible and allow air to circulate to avoid having moist air stay where it shouldn't. There are probably different schools of thought on this, but it has worked well so far :).

My current thought is to install moisture-resistant plasterboard similar to this:

Use aluminum profiles, have a 5cm gap in the profile joints and perhaps drill a few holes here and there in them, and leave a 1cm gap around the entire ceiling (except in the shower) to allow the air to circulate nicely. But maybe that's unnecessary...

Here's a nice paint sketch where the red lines represent where the ceiling should be.
Sketch of ceiling plan in a bathroom renovation with red lines indicating areas for lowering the ceiling, featuring areas labeled "Bathtub," "Sauna," and "Shower.

It's kind of like that when you're an enthusiastic amateur, you wonder if you're on the right track or completely off.
So feel free to share your opinions and criticism :D.

Since no one seems to know, I'm going to go with what I planned and time will tell if it was right or not ;)

Is the ceiling nice today? Are there outlets for lighting? In my opinion, it's overkill to lower and install spotlights. There are nice fixtures with spotlights on arms if the ceiling is okay today.

The ceiling is "fine" but since it used to be an old boiler room, it is quite sooty and needs to be painted with blocking paint, etc. There is an outlet for lighting as there is a fixture in the ceiling today.

Extra attention is fine, this room will become the heart of the house, so I want to go the extra mile even if it might take time :), but thanks for the input!
