Hello!

I am a complete novice at this. I want to lower the ceiling and have spotlights, but the pipes by one wall in the room complicate matters. I want to hide the pipes but not make the wall all the way down. I was thinking of letting the space under the pipes be a place for shelves for storage.

I have read quite a few DIY guides on how to frame walls and ceilings with metal studs, but I can't find solutions on how to hide the pipes.

Check the picture and feel free to share tips on how you would have done it.

Pipes mounted on a wall in a room with a yellow section below them, intended for storage solutions. Cardboard boxes and a flooring sample visible on the floor.

Some metal angles and beams should fix that. It looks like there are some types of valves on the pipes; you should probably have an inspection hatch there so the valves are accessible.
