Getting the new house soon with a biiiiig garage :) that is already insulated + has plastic and battens. For me, there's still electrical, lighting, inner walls, and ceiling to do. Drywall for the ceiling, of course(?), but the walls? Do you use drywall there too? I imagine I will drive a crowbar or a shovel right through the wall the first thing I do, and that it will be hard to hang things up, but maybe I'm thinking wrong? Is it allowed in terms of fire risk to use chipboard instead? Advantages or disadvantages?

Concrete floor - wash thoroughly and then paint with epoxy?

  • Insulated garage with exposed wooden beams, shelves filled with plastic storage boxes, a workbench with tools, and a window letting in natural light.

Disadvantage of particleboard is that it's expensive. If it was done just for function, then form plywood would probably be best.

How close is the garage to the house or another building?
Here it was explained a bit:

Many put OSB behind the plasterboard, then you can easily screw things onto the walls. It also works well with chipboard, plywood, or tongue and groove behind.
