I am planning to install drywall in the garage ceiling. The floor joists for the upper floor are on cc600. Initially, I thought of installing 28x70 spaced battens in the ceiling on cc300, and then drywall on that, but now I'm considering installing OSB boards and drywall instead. Is cc600 sufficient for that?

Best regards, Peter

What are you planning to mount on the ceiling, and how heavy is it? If it's heavier items, I would have gone with cc300 that you were considering initially!

Max. c/c distance in the ceiling according to the Gyproc handbook is 400mm (450mm with ERGO boards). However, I would do as ByggaNytt suggests and use c/c 300 if you intend to hang something from the ceiling (which is often the case in a garage).

Ok. Then it will be cc300 and skip the OSB:en. It feels a bit unnecessary when you have them so close together with the 28x70:in.
Best regards, Peter
