I am working on a similar installation to create an air gap against the basement wall and have set c/c 300mm on the steel studs and will cover it with OSB/Plyfa and gypsum. I realized that it is somewhat wobbly, so I will attach an angle iron to each stud that is screwed into the lecablocks. Tried on a few and it stiffens up the whole construction. Maybe a bit late for you now... :(

Mine were wobbly as f*n before the gypsum was in place! Now that both layers of gypsum are in place, it's as stable as anything.

What is it like to screw the plasterboard into the steel studs? They feel quite flimsy. Is there a big difference compared to a wooden stud? :)

The first screws into the studs were like that, but after that, there wasn't much difference compared to wood.

Why didn't you screw the upper track into the ceiling grid? :)
I bought the same tool you have, haven't started framing to be able to test it yet.
Yes, that would have been easier. But after talking to builders and designers, I chose to have venting at the top to allow any moist air to be ventilated out.

My studs are 2650mm, which is why I chose the alternative with angle iron "just in case."

Regarding the tool, it is starting to become somewhat dull, and it's time to replace the blade, but I am almost finished now, so it can wait...

Hi!
What is the vent pipe sticking down from the ceiling?
Curious because I will build a room in the basement myself :)

The one on the right is for the exhaust in the laundry room, where the drying cabinet is also connected...
Ceiling with vent and exposed wiring in a corner room, likely related to ventilation in a laundry area connected to a heat recovery system.

and the two on the right are for the FLVP (exhaust and extraction from the whole house)
Two ventilation ducts in a laundry room, one covered in silver tape, the other white, part of an exhaust system for ventilation and heat recovery.

Oh thank you
