I was considering casting a slab with L-Elements that create a raised edge. It says it should be possible to do this in one casting step.

I usually use S4 semi-flow concrete. Won't the concrete poured into the edge flow down and out into the slab if everything is cast at once?

Anyone with experience?

The easiest way, if you want to have it done at the same time, is to reduce the setting measure and allow a short time to pass between the casting of the slab and the curb. Most often when doing something similar, you usually use loose formwork and use so-called float boards, a form shaped like an L to minimize the risk of concrete seeping up where it shouldn't be.
