Can you ventilate the ridge in the following way?
Hi,
This weekend I will start assembling the framework for a sunroom from Willab, and I have some questions about the ventilation under the sheathing and how it should be vented at the ridge.
Can it be done in the following way, that is, ending the sheathing about 20mm before the ridge to keep it open for the air to vent out? And then lay roofing felt on top of the ridge board that extends out a bit and is nailed to the battens.
The framework I will be assembling is a pre-cut framework where the rafters are mounted against the ridge beam as shown in the picture.

The roofing felt does not release the air as you drew it, and if you do not pull it all the way up to the ridge, there is a risk that snow will blow into the air gap. Drill in 1 mold prevention vent in each section under the top tile row, and the problem is solved.
A little late, but if you look at the drawing, the intention is not for the roofing felt to let through, but it lies on top of the battens and creates an air channel so it becomes like a Z path that snow/water must take to get under the decking. So the roofing felt extending from the ridge board somewhat forms a check valve there =)Matti_75 said:
