Hi, I want to set up a curtain track on the ceiling that will go from wall to wall. However, I'm having difficulty finding the studs, as I get that these would be 900cc(?), but that sounds strange, and it doesn't fit with where I need to place the brackets.

The ceiling is from -72 and in softer material.

So my question is simply if there's a good plug to use that allows the board to support the weight of the curtain where there are no studs?

This will be in a bedroom with double curtains, so the curtains can be quite heavy.

Thanks in advance

Ordinary plastic plugs can be questionable. It might possibly work with a metal expansion plug (molly).

"Quite heavy" is a broad term.

Probably it's Tretex.

The ceiling feels like some kind of masonite if that can be accurate. It both sounds (when knocking) as well as when you press a bit to feel the give. Not as rigid as today's hountonit.

Wondering if this could work if it's like masonite. The screw head must be of a countersunk type to fit the rail later White plastic wall plug, type Allplugg Kombi, 8mm size, shown on a Byggmax product page with a price of 29.95 Kr for 10 pieces.

If it's masonite, you'll need to have an underlay beneath it. Start by finding out what you have, and then you can get the right things.

Yes, but since I'm not going to touch the existing roof, and the information about what's underneath is scarce, I'm asking here if anyone has ideas/tips. Otherwise, I wouldn't need to ask.
