Can I reuse moldings/nails? Don't have a nail gun...

Dumb question, maybe. But I had to remove a bunch of moldings because I needed to access behind them. Now I'm going to put them back again and I'm wondering if I can reuse the existing holes and nails. They were previously attached with a nail gun - and I don't own a nail gun - and don't want to buy one if I can avoid it.

So the question is really: will the moldings stay in place if I reuse the existing nails/holes, and is there any trick that might help me succeed better with the task?

They will sit tight just fine, just remember to nail them carefully as they tend to bend very easily. If you are unsure, you can always apply a dab of montagelim here and there to be sure.

Isn't it easier to buy nails in the appropriate size?

Assuming that the nails aren't already attached to the moldings, in which case it would be easier to use the existing ones.
