What is the difference between gypsum plaster and KC plaster?

The Photographer: I asked for a quote that included everything. It was simply supposed to be ready for proof printing. Apparently, the wall wasn't included in his price, even though it was small sums in the context. In my opinion, that's not counted as "ready for proof printing" since the wall was missing. He also didn't want to build the wall afterward... so sure, I have myself to blame for not putting it in writing. In my defense, it was my first "quote work" on the cabin.

The quote was 32k SEK for installation and chimney pipe. It ended at 33k SEK without the wall.

What a damn slingerbult... yes, pressure testing is possible without a wall behind, but not firing...

Gypsum plaster is applied like regular filler, while kc plaster should ideally be thrown on. However, it's possible to spread kc plaster with somewhat less adhesion. Not a plaster professional, just explored some different plaster options last fall when I needed plaster myself.

I would have done as follows. Cover the stove with plastic bags and tape. Do the same with the floor. Then apply gypsum plaster (Gypsum) and spread it with a regular wide putty knife. If the aerated concrete stones are even, you don't need a thick layer of plaster, about 5 mm. The simplest way is to get a rough surface and for that, you take a large brush, dip it in water and brush "in crosses" in the wet gypsum over the entire surface. Let dry, done.

Thank you, it was a great description, just what I needed. I think I'll buy another stone and try your technique on it.

I'm an amateur but have plastered/rendered large areas with this technique. It's simple. Take a lecasten or a lightweight concrete board and practice as you say.
