I read a lot on this site and others. I stumbled across some threads about closets.

As I have 3 built-in closets that need to be torn down, all attached to the wall that runs through the house and is load-bearing (I think).

To the question, is it possible for a closet to be load-bearing? I can't find any "screw holes" in the closet and it still goes up to the ceiling. Or is it simply the design from the '80s?

Probably didn't put the thread in the right place but.

not the wardrobes but possibly the wall behind

Yes, I am almost 100 percent sure it's a load-bearing wall! But if the wall behind is load-bearing, does it make any difference in the demolition?

No

Thank you! ☺
