Hello!

Regarding removing part of a load-bearing plank wall in houses from the 1920s. Do you know if there are programs to calculate the dimensions online that one can experiment with a bit before contacting a structural engineer?
To understand which dimension options we have, as we would rather use a lower but wider beam/stud than the higher ones that most seem to use.

Not directly for your exact scenario, but for example for an opening in a load-bearing exterior wall, which you should be able to use as an indication
