C4 corrseal for joining framework

Wasn't it essve who claimed that their C4 deck screw needed to be under a roof?

But my question is not about the actual deck screw but the thicker ones used for the framework.

I've used c4 for the construction of my terrace. A4 for the decking. (Hot-dip galvanized is usually c3 if I remember correctly)

I have also set C4 to fasten some beams, as well as to set up a conservatory/pergola in the decking and facade. I also live on the west coast and came across this thread...
