Wasn't it essve who claimed that their C4 deck screw needed to be under a roof?
But my question is not about the actual deck screw but the thicker ones used for the framework.

I was wondering if it would hold much better than the decking screw

That's exactly the question I am asking for advice on.

I've used c4 for the construction of my terrace. A4 for the decking. (Hot-dip galvanized is usually c3 if I remember correctly)

Where do you live?

Has it continued to hold together well?

I have also set C4 to fasten some beams, as well as to set up a conservatory/pergola in the decking and facade. I also live on the west coast and came across this thread...

Still no problems at all after a few years.
