Byggmax Wall Panel V-groove in the ceiling?
Hello,
has anyone tried installing Byggmax MDF wall panel (http://www.byggmax.com/se-sv/Prod/PID-1024.aspx) on the ceiling? Has anyone used it on walls?
I have used "Panelskivan" before and am satisfied with the result. However, these almost cost twice as much as the Byggmax panels. The difference I see is that the panelskiva is 20 cm narrower (40 instead of 60). This does make it a bit trickier to install... but does anyone have any other experiences?

hi. had myself planned to put up those in 3 ceilings. but I was advised against it since they are meant for walls so they are not tongue-and-grooved on the length. so I have bought white-stained pärlspont. as mentioned, it becomes more work. but it probably looks better when it's finished.
Aha, then it doesn't work... Thanks for the info.
In the house, I have put up both the panel sheet and "real" white-painted paneling. I'm actually most satisfied with the panel sheet...
OK, then it will be to buy the more expensive variant...

Okay. Checked the price in the neighboring municipality, and they wanted a higher M2 price for unpainted panel board than what I paid for finished stained real panel. :blushing:

Otherwise, the hardware store has tongue-and-groove panels, although unpainted. The one they advertise on TV. No more expensive than Byggmax if you have a little discount when we checked anyway.
It is also my experience with the panel board... i.e., expensive. I've paid the same price as for white-painted 17mm panel, around 170:- per square meter...
Which hardware store do you mean? Byggmax's board is at 90:-/m2. Is it possible to get the panel board for the same?jimmyboy_666 said:

:|offtopic but. currently taking down the old ceiling moldings to put up real paneling. the moldings are nailed with a max of 15 cm apart with 4-5 inch nails:| because the previous owner must have either had a good discount on nails or very little to occupy their time with

I paid 57.46 SEK for the board which is 400x1205, so approximately 2 boards per sqm. So I paid about 118 SEK per sqm. It's a bit more expensive than byggmax but it's also tongue and grooved on the short side so it can be installed in the ceiling.
