Hey!

I decided to buy Buildmax's own tiles, from what I've heard, they are produced by S:t Eriks, but I'm doubting that now after reading the freight label I received this morning. The tiles themselves are of very good quality, I would say. A little casting flash here and there and some stones sticking up in the tiles.

These tiles are meant for my greenhouse to stand on. So far they seem quite okay! For only about 4000 SEK for 115 350x350x50 tiles and 20 175x350x50 tiles. 4 of the full tiles were cracked, which is quite okay, I mean that's why you order at least 10% extra tiles.

I do have a question though, I bought 60kg of joint sand (brown) from Buildmax since I didn't feel like driving all the way to Bauhaus, does anyone have experience with the sand, if so please send a picture of how it looks. Thanks!

  • Label on concrete paver packaging from Mosaiken Hedesunda, detailing size 350x350x50mm in natural gray, and information about weight and manufacturer.
  • Concrete paving slabs stacked on the ground, various sizes. Some slabs show minor imperfections and are slightly weathered.
  • Concrete paving slabs with a textured surface and a few visible imperfections are arranged next to gravel.
  • Stacked concrete paving slabs with some chipped edges and fragments on top, set outdoors with greenery in the background.
  • Concrete pavers laid on a gravel surface in a garden setting with trees in the background, during sunset.
If you are going to grow in the greenhouse, there will be some dirt in the joints anyway. We grouted with gray stone dust but supplemented with byggmax brown and it's not something we think about.

Could you maybe show a picture of it? 😃

It's a bit difficult because it's not visible, and then you can hardly see the floor at all right now because of everything being grown 😊.

Buildmax joint in our future greenhouse. Difficult to see anything though as the slabs are sandy after the first jointing, hadn't watered yet in the picture.

Brick-paved area in a future greenhouse, slightly sandy after first grouting, with an unfinished planter box and a gardening tool visible.

Looks good!
I assume the joint sand doesn't contain any binding agent so it doesn't lock the slabs

It doesn't contain that, but when you get the sand down it still locks the tiles.
