Thinking a bit about shelters for several reasons.

Are there any writings that say how these should be designed to survive various threats?

I was pondering building under the house (2 meters foundation) but digging down some containers seems easier but considerably weaker. Maybe if you buried one and put cement around it...

It shouldn't spiral out cost-wise, otherwise I remember some American selling ready-made solutions, heh...

A shelter is essentially a regular basement but with thicker ceilings and walls that also have significantly reinforced construction. And, of course, a sturdy door.

Very curious about what reasons you have to think about shelters, will you share some insight?

Shelter 2011 feels a bit like a life jacket on a plane - false security
But do the tax benefits that existed in the past really remain?

Since no one would take me seriously about what I believe the future has to offer, I might just keep it to myself. :)

Now I'm even more curious! :D

I know that some municipalities sponsor certain garage constructions for private individuals - which are disguised as shelters and are intended to be used in war situations. There are many such scattered across the country.

But why do you want a shelter? Do you have a mean wife hehe?

Ask your municipality if they sponsor such a construction for you - I know there is a possibility.

Personally, I don't think it's concrete and reinforcement you need to focus on. I guess a system that ensures the air you bring in is free of contamination is worth more than shatter protection. But it depends on what concerns you have. :)

Exactly what I mean, if you think you need a shelter, the reinforcement is not what you should focus on, so to speak (get it ... ha ha :-)

fun that it's not just me who's anxious about the future. ;)
four heavy things that make me want to build a shelter.
one of them is peak oil number 2 is china/asia 3 and 4 we'll save.

should one now blast in the rock or cast in concrete??

But without oil you don't need to be afraid of invasion in any case ...

the bang????
have we met before. if not, we probably won't hang out afterwards.
know that not everyone can /wants to understand,
but it will be fun without bang.............:(

How will your bunker protect you from peak oil? And how would peak oil affect us in such a way? We don't exactly have oil reserves within our borders that we're sitting on.

China/Asia? Yeah? Are they going to invade Sweden? From where? And why?

If these are the points you're willing to share, I'm hesitant to know what 3 and 4 are :D.

Aliens and exploding stars? I don't think a bunker protects against that. Nor against falling moons.

If you had at least said, "the Russians are coming!" or something like that, it would have been more serious :). They are at least nearby and could theoretically come here. That China would cross the Pacific, through the USA, over the Atlantic, through Norway, and then here, alternatively through the whole of Europe or through Russia, through Finland/the Baltics, and then over the Baltic Sea. Or maybe through the North Pole? Or will they dig through the earth "if you dig a hole... do you come out in Sweden then?" :).

I think you have time to build a bunker before they get here if you keep your eyes open :).
