buy the same tiles in the future...
Hello!
I am about to lay tiles in a small guest toilet. Within a 2-5 year period, a larger bathroom and two hallways will also be renovated and get tiles as flooring. I would like to have the same type of tiles in all areas to create a cohesive feel, but I don’t want to buy the materials for all the rooms at once. There seems to be a plethora of tiles from different brands and styles. Is there any brand and type that is "standard/universal", i.e., produced from year to year so that I can buy the same tiles when it becomes relevant in the future? Color likely dark gray or terracotta.

Well, there are "branded goods" even within tiles, where the range is available for a very long time. For example, my favorite Mutina - these are quite expensive but there is a big difference in quality as well https://www.mutina.it/en/
Of course, you can't have complete guarantees, especially when looking 7-10 years ahead, but they have products in their range that have been available for over 7 years.
Then you sometimes need to think about firing as well for certain products, if they are to be laid closely as different batches can have slightly different shades.
Check among the more expensive range, such as Brickmate etc., and maybe you'll find something there.

Since they are different rooms, I believe that a dark gray tile in the guest bathroom will appear similar as long as the other type is dark gray, similar in size, and the grout color is the same. Very large tiles may have become outdated in 5 years, so I would avoid them.
Terracotta is probably more sensitive, partly a color that isn't always available and partly because it varies more in color.
