I went to Bauhaus today because I was planning to buy materials to build a suspended ceiling in the hallway for the kitchen entrance. The ceiling there has a slope so the easiest way is to install a suspended ceiling similar to those commonly used in offices, locker rooms, and corridors, etc. Additionally, I have a fluorescent fixture for that type of ceiling that I planned to use.
A few years ago, I saw that Bauhaus carried this, so I thought it was time to buy what I needed. It turned out that they used to carry the brand Parafon in their range but it is no longer available.
So I went home without getting anything done and now I'm wondering where else I can shop instead? I saw there was a brand called Rockfon too, maybe there are more, but which brand is the best to go for?

Beijer sells Echophon at least. If it's acoustic panels you're looking for. They probably have Rockfon too.

To begin with, it's the framework that I need. If the tiles are 600x600mm regardless of the brand, then it really doesn't matter which brand I choose, I can take the framework from one manufacturer and the tiles from another.

So it's not available at any of the usual places like Bauhaus, Hornbach, K-rauta, XL-bygg, Materialmännen (now Bolist), Jem & fix, Byggmax etc.?

Beijer has tiles, so they should have suspension systems too. Although a bit pricey tile if you don't have a sound requirement.

Yes, you can use whatever suspension system for a regular 600x600 tile.

There are several online stores that sell grids and tiles. And physical stores in many locations.

Ecophon's cheapest is called Advantage A, Rockfon's is called Artic A.
Good luck!

It actually makes a big difference. Rockfon and previously Parafon, CDC, etc., release a lot of mineral wool during installation. Then their tiles yellow quite quickly. It's an economic cartwheel not to buy Ecophon. If you bought Advantage as someone mentioned, remember that there is an installation direction. This means the arrows should go in the same direction or 180 degrees. Never 90. Nowadays, all ceiling installation companies get such good discounts on Gedina that it's comparable. Contact a local company and compare what price they can offer for the materials.
