Hello,
I came across bamboo as a building material and started to wonder how it stands compared to, for instance, pine or plywood.
Has anyone worked with bamboo and would like to share their experiences?
How does it need to be treated for outdoor use?
What is it like to build furniture with?
I want to know everything you have to offer.

I can imagine that. Seems to be a really hard material. Maybe stiffer too? Available in decking, exterior paneling, veneer sheets with various layers, bamboo plywood, edge-glued shelf boards. Probably more, but it seems relatively new?
The thing with bamboo is that it's always block-glued or some kind of veneer since bamboo stalks are hollow. So the weakness is always how well the glue holds over time, indoors dry and room temperature - no problem, outdoors in moisture and sun, summer and winter - ???F Freniño said:
