We shall build an insulated room in an otherwise cold barn. We have lamb production on the farm and the room shall function as an office, for warming weak lambs, and some storage. The room will be located in one corner of the barn. All walls will need to be insulated but only 2 will be completely free-standing. The room will be about 3.5x3.5m. A new concrete floor will be poured throughout the barn.
How should the walls be constructed? Have considered using regular wooden studs with insulation and drywall or building up with cinder blocks.
What is the cheapest, best, and easiest option? Maybe there are other even better ideas?
Grateful for any help!

Should 3.5x3.5 work as an office and heating for weak lambs as well as storage space?

Talk about compact living ;)

I would say that wooden studs are the cheapest and easiest, but leca is the best.

If you're only looking for good insulation value, then wooden studs might be the best choice there as well. But it sounds like the construction needs to withstand some tough conditions, and in that case, I would go with leca.

Thanks for the response!

Compact yes, the negotiation about space is still ongoing with my husband. Either I continue to advocate for more space, or I concede here and get what I want indoors instead (hihi). Now, lambs aren't that large when they need heating. About 2-4kg. And the storage will probably be mostly for medicine and other things that shouldn't freeze. But as I said, we'll see how the space feels once the floor is finished being poured. I can always remind him about the patio he negotiated to be smaller, and now he regrets it because it's so small.
