Hello,
I have a house from 1948 that I am renovating. I have removed the tongue and groove boards from the interior walls and have thus reached the plank wall. Today, there is an older form of wind paper on the wall. Now, I am going to insulate 45mm on the plank wall. The question is: should I have a vapor barrier over the insulation, before the drywall, like in modern houses, or should I place wind paper against the plank wall, inside the insulation? I don't want to trap any moisture in the wall, but on the other hand, I want to make it as insulated and efficient as possible.
