Hello,

If I am going to build an internal wall consisting of metal studs and a layer of OSB and a layer of drywall, which screws should I use? There are screws for both OSB and drywall... How do I do it?

Thankful for an answer!

for OSB, you use a screw called Grabber 16JL phosphated particle board screw. Great for plywood/OSB in metal studs. For the gypsum, you use a 38 mm regular metal stud screw, such as Grabber 338.

Screw the OSB properly into the metal studs, otherwise, it will push away when you later screw the gypsum.

Plywood in wooden studs then? Regular wood screws? What dimension? There will be plasterboards on the outside.

Another screw question: If I build my interior wall with regular wooden studs 45x70, what screw dimension is suitable for the stud construction? 5 mm wood screws? 6mm?

if you have wooden studs use regular chipboard screws for wood 28 mm for the chipboard and 41 mm drywall screws for wood for the gypsum
