Hello!

I currently have a half-wall against a staircase and I would like to completely build up that wall (along the seam between the brown and white wall in the picture). The problem is that there is a bit of a sloped ceiling, so the wall against the staircase will be about 1 cm higher than the other wall.

How should one think about the top plate so that it becomes stable and easy to attach the vertical studs?

Best regards,
Terry

  • Half-wall with a wooden top near a staircase, featuring a vertical bamboo screen. The wall is adjacent to a sloped ceiling, creating uneven heights.
The rule should sit flush against the ceiling and follow the slope. Then you need to bevel cut the upright studs so that they fit the slope.
