Building an interior wall without anchoring to the floor, what should I consider?
I'm going to divide the living room into a larger and a slightly smaller room, as the youngest in the family needs their own room to sleep in. But since this room will only be temporary for maybe 1-2 years until we've arranged a room in the basement, and we've just installed new and expensive flooring, I don't want to anchor the wall to the floor.
The wall's width is 420cm and the ceiling height is 250cm.
Should I just place a beam on the floor with protective paper underneath, and then use vertical beams that are cut very tightly and press them between the beam attached to the ceiling and the loose one on the floor, and then anchor the vertical beams at the top and bottom? Or will the wall move easily this way?
The beams will be anchored on both sides and to the ceiling, only the one lying on the floor will not be anchored.

It's fine to use steel studs in the ceiling and against the floor with rubber seal for protection, then add a little extra length to the studs in between so you avoid screw holes afterward.
