I will soon be building an interior partition wall in my garage. I have run out of my 45x70 studs, but I have a bunch of 45x45 studs that haven't been used.
Will it work well to use 45x45 studs in the wall or is it too weak? I plan to put OSB and gypsum on them afterwards.

Just make sure they are straight as 45x45s can twist more easily than 45x70 studs, but otherwise, it's perfectly fine to build as you planned. Don't forget to insulate the wall for soundproofing, so you don't end up with a resonance box/subwoofer for a wall
