Building a small staircase tips 60cm wide
Hello!
I'm going to build a small staircase according to the picture, 60cm wide, the upper 3 steps are already built by those who built the house.
Now I'm going to build the rest (marked in red) and I'm wondering what dimension the wood should be? And the step itself, 22mm? Or will smaller work?
I was also thinking that the 2 lowest steps should be closed on the side and opened via the step as a lid?
Is there any smart solution for this, I was thinking of hidden hinges here.
The upper 3 holes maybe should also be a drawer in the step? Or a hatch you open to access.
I was thinking of making it easy for myself and building everything with 45 wood on the sides that stand on the floor and attach to the wall and then boards between the steps, underneath and the steps themselves?
But I've seen many build entirely with boards only? What dimension is needed then? Is 21mm plywood enough? Will it be stable?
It's a concrete floor underneath, is it enough if I put the plastic sheeting that's supposed to be for the floor under the staircase too?
And just place the joists on it, everything will be connected to the staircase and wall.
Hope you understand what I mean
Thanks!

Based on the image and the fact that it seems to be a loft, I don't think the step formula is applicable here, so you'll simply need to measure and draw. I guess you will have high steps for it to be within the formula, but based on the loft function, maybe that's how it's intended.
Edit: this can give you a start. Choose with stringer underneath or on the side and test a little

Unfortunately, the steps will be 25 cm high as it's not possible to make them more now afterwards. 19 cm deep but maybe the step can extend 2 cm? So they become 21 cm at least? But since the staircase leads to a loft, maybe it doesn't matter that much as someone mentioned before.
I'm considering building everything in 18mm plyfa in the same design as the picture, should that be enough?
