Building a house with aerated concrete
Hello!
I am going to build a conservatory with lightweight concrete blocks on a concrete foundation. My question is how do I handle the first layer? Attach the blocks to the foundation with mortar and/or bolts? Or anything else I should consider?
Grateful for any advice and tips đ

Are you sure you mean aerated concrete blocks and not lightweight aggregate blocks (leca blocks)? Aerated concrete blocks are usually glued rather than using mortar.
Otherwise, you lay directly on the slab with mortar. I haven't seen anyone bolt down the blocks. However, you can reinforce them with iron and concrete vertically.

No, they are not leca blocks. Lightweight concrete. Yes, they should be glued, but I'm not sure if you can glue directly to the concrete foundation. I will reinforce about every 3rd layer.
