Hello!

I have a big concern that's been bothering me. I've built a pool and now want to lay stone around it. As a frame, and because I hate the maintenance of wooden planks, I've ordered a wall that will extend 185cm above ground level.

The company I ordered the wall from builds houses in the area with this material, which is why they also choose aerated concrete for the wall. The wall will be entirely buried to frost-free depth and leveled with Styrofoam along with a cast concrete base. So far, so good.
Now to my question: Is this a good option considering frost damage in winter to use aerated concrete/Ytong blocks?

Can you use aerated concrete and simply clad the wall up to ground level with Platon along with the associated waterproofing compound against the concrete base to make aerated concrete work, or what do you think??

Help, they're about to start building soon!!

Best regards,
Johan

How did it go with the wall, did it go up?
