Hi,

I'm in the process of building a room with concrete blocks.
All is well so far.
But now I'm slowly reaching upwards, soon it will be time for the upper part of the door opening.
How do you handle that? Planning to install an 80cm door, and the opening is 81.7cm. But how do I build upwards? Do you insert a beam to rest on the concrete blocks? Or do you install frames afterwards?

Regards,

Stefan

Build a mold that is about 40 cm longer than the door opening and as wide as the lecan without plaster. Buy two 20kg bags of concrete, mix with water, and fill the mold. At the bottom, you can place two reinforcement bars. Let the concrete cure for 24-48 hours, remove the mold, and lift the concrete beam into place over the door opening. Naturally, you place mortar under each end.
