I'm pondering one thing... I'm a bit stuck

How do you handle threshold elevation between the wet room and the hallway?
- The WET ROOM has 22mm chipboard, 20mm self-leveling compound, 10mm tiles... this is about 50mm floor thickness
- The HALLWAY consists of 28mm lacquered planks.

I haven't installed the frame yet... and the wet room only has 22mm chipboard installed.
Can I place a 45x70 timber underneath? Then I'll get the frames pretty close to the future floor level and the waterproofing can be folded against the timber... but then the thoughts come... it'll be quite a step to get over when going to the wet room

How do you handle the threshold in these cases?

I have always kept an old door when renovating the bathrooms in our house projects, then I have screwed/glued a new oak threshold on top of the old one.
Yes, it creates quite a substantial edge to step over :)
