I have an extension on the first floor with a metal roof that is in bad condition. I haven't noticed any leakage, but it looks awful. Anyway, I thought about building a terrace over this metal roof.

My proposed construction solution is:
Place 45 joists with 30cc down into and along the corrugations.
Lay age-resistant plastic in nearly the same way as roofing felt and screw additional battens (22X45) on top of the plastic, which will act as a spacer for the planks and hold the plastic in place.
Then screw regular 95X22 planks into this.

All wood in pressure-treated.

What do you think of this solution?

no one who might be able to give tips? improve or maybe a completely different better solution?
don't think it works with age-resistant plastic?
