Hi,
I went to Byggmax again, they had marked the spot where the lecablocks were incorrectly, it said 19cm, now it turns out that I came home with 15cm. 15x19x59cm. Since I have brought home 66 blocks and it's a bit of a drive to the store, I’m not too eager to go there and exchange them. And I probably won't get any help.
But now to my question. I am going to build a room indoors. It will be 2x2 meters in size. I had counted on getting home 19x19x59cm blocks, now I'm missing a little. The only way I can solve this is by standing the blocks on their height, so the width becomes 15cm and the height 19cm. This way, the blocks are enough. But is this okay? Will it be too unstable?
Moreover, there are no grooves for reinforcement bars in these blocks. Do I really need to reinforce more than the top and bottom layers of an interior wall? It won't have any lateral loads.
Sigh. Byggmax.
Regards,
Stefan

A partition wall that is 9 cm thick and presumably 2.5-3.0 m high might seem a bit wobbly. I'm not quite sure what horizontal reinforcement would do, if the wall stands on, for example, a concrete slab. Have you considered anything as unorthodox as vertical reinforcement in the plaster layer?J.B. said:
Or is it meshed indoors?
