Build interior wall and attach stud
Hello, I want to put up an interior wall with a sliding door. The interior wall will be 3.50 meters, and I have 45x95mm studs. I'm wondering how to attach the stud wall:
- The ceiling is plasterboard, but I found a batten behind the plasterboard with a stud finder. So I assume it's possible to attach the stud to the ceiling?
- Both existing walls consist of plasterboard. One is an interior wall, and the other is an exterior wall. I checked, but there is no stud behind the plasterboard on both walls where I want to put up the interior wall. How can I attach the stud to these walls?
- The floor is parquet, how can one attach a stud to the floor?
Thanks in advance for the tips.

I built a similar wall a couple of years ago to install sliding doors in front of our wardrobes. Back then, I attached the studs using molly plugs and extended screws in both the ceiling and the walls. However, I didn’t need to screw anything into the floor; the rail that the sliding doors run on is attached with double-sided tape.
If both ends of the horizontal stud (is it called "syll" even in interior walls?) connect to a wall and the stud is in one piece, I think you can manage without screwing into the floor, but if you have a free end or a doorway, it might be a bit unstable.
