Build in wardrobe (question about filler pieces and studs)
Hello there,
I have this wardrobe that I plan to build in.
I've done some research and think the following would work:
- Cover panel on the right side from floor to ceiling
- Filler pieces (MDF board?) for the gap between the wardrobe and the left wall (thinking 6 cm like the baseboard) + ceiling (12 cm)
If the above sounds kosher, I wonder how I best attach these filler pieces? A beam that I drill into the ceiling? A beam that I glue to the wardrobe? Both? Something else?
Thanks in advance. ☺️

You build a finished box/frame of 45x45 studs that you place on top of the wardrobe, about 1cm from the ceiling. Then you attach the box with screws from the inside of the wardrobe and glue the cover panel on the outside. It's also advisable to use nails to fasten it.
On the side, you attach a stud on the outside of the wardrobe that you screw from the inside of the wardrobe and then mount the cover panel on the outside.

That is to say, you don't need to glue anything in the wardrobe (it will be damaged if you want to remove the bar at some point) and you don't need to screw into either the ceiling or the wall.

And yes, you should use MDF.
Thank you for the response! ☺️
